  15. QuickMail PC requires QuickMail 2.0 or later on the Macintosh Server.  QuickMail PC will not work with versions of QuickMail earlier than 2.0.

  18. QuickMail PC enables users of IBM¬Æ PCs and compatibles to exchange QuickMail on an AppleTalk‚Ñ¢ network with Macintosh users.

  20. QuickMail PC is shipped on two serialized 5-1/4" user disks.

  22. The QuickMail PC package contains three TSR (terminate - stay resident) programs - QuickSend‚Ñ¢ , QuickNotifier‚Ñ¢  and QuickConference‚Ñ¢, as well as the QuickMail and CE Install‚Ñ¢ applications.

  24. CE Install takes the guesswork out of installing QuickMail PC on a machine.

  26. QuickNotifier informs users when QuickMail or  QuickConference messages arrive.

  29. the user presses a hot key.  Without leaving the current application, the user can enter a message, enclose files, address and send the message to other QuickMail users.

QuickConference opens with a hot key from any application.  QuickConference is used for Real-Time Conferencing.  Users can hold private conversations or public conferences on their computers.  Open the screen, type a message, select recipients and press the Send button.  The QuickConference screen will pop up on the recipients‚Äô machines.  A timed Privacy option is available to temporarily prevent incoming conference messages from interrupting the user.  The transcript of the conference can be saved to a disk and printed.  (QuickNotifier must be loaded for incoming conference messages to appear.)

  33. The QuickMail application employs an easy-to-use interface similar to that of the Macintosh version of QuickMail.  Each user has a QuickMail summary screen for organizing messages.  Users can sort messages by Priority, Subject, Sender or Date Sent.

  36. as selecting a form, entering the text, choosing recipients from a user-personalized mail address list and selecting the Send button.

  38. Messages can be sent within a local area network, through AppleTalk zones, across wide area networks and to information services via software bridges.  Users can attach files of any type to each message.

  40. The Mail Log keeps track of all outgoing messages, telling the user what mail was sent and exactly when each message was read.
